The AHS class of 1974 is offering scholarships for AHS students enrolling in
TRADE SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY COLLEGES, OR 4-YEAR COLLEGES/UNIVERSITIES
in the summer or fall of 2025. Applicants must be related to an AHS alum, i.e., grandchild, child,

Class of 1974 Family Member Scholarship Information
Ames High Class of 1974 Scholarships
For AHS Seniors enrolling in a Trade School,
Community College, University, or 4-year College
Members of the AHS Class of 1974 have donated generously so that we could give back to
our high school by supporting students as they continue their education. Applications
for the Ames High Class of 1974 Scholarship are available in Naviance and hard
copies can be picked up in Student Services at Ames High School.
Deadline for submitting the
application
is April 30, 2025.
Amount: $500.00, or variable.
Eligibility:
- Any Ames High senior who is a relative of a past AHS graduate, and graduating
in Spring 2025.
- must have been granted admission to a university, college, junior
college, or trade school.
- Financial need will be considered, although not required, for candidates of equal
qualifications.
- Selection will be made by a committee of members of the Ames High Class of 1974.
The scholarship will be awarded in May. The amount of the scholarship will be sent
directly to the university or college that is designated by the recipient.
