Classmate biography bio for 1974 AHS 30-year reunion
Ames High School class of 1974 30th reunion in Ames Iowa July 30 & 31, 2004 !

So where do I begin? Instead of dialing back all 30 years, let's just pick up where we left off at the 20 year mark. If memory serves me correctly, I was making a quick get away that Saturday night.....

The past decade has been a great ride. My wife Susan and I are fortunate to have two nice sons who have been a delight to raise. David is a 17 year Junior and Kevin, 15 is in his last year of middle school. He can't wait to join his brother at the high school level.

Susan is an entrepreneur through and through. She had a nice run designing and manufacturing a line of baby accessories. It was quite the hit in mass merchandising stores like Target and Wal-Mart. She is now offering a consulting service to small offices/home offices, and in the early stages of launching a new office market product.

The big news for me is that at age 48 I have a new hip. No smart ass remarks, please. All those marathons back in my 20s and 30s finally took a toll. The car accident in 5th grade didn't help either. I'm about 90% recovered, having abandoned my cane altogether. Doctors say that with proper care and attention, there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to play the piano again....

I'm in business for myself now, building new business relationships for an ad agency and a small printer. I also represent a new communications magazine called Big Idea. I sell ad space and make arrangements for editorial contributions.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone July 2004 -- and a special thanks to the Committee for pulling this reunion together.
