Classmate biography bio for 1974 AHS 30-year reunion
Ames High School class of 1974 30th reunion in Ames Iowa July 30 & 31, 2004 !

Hi Everyone!

I know everyone says this, but I can't believe it's been 30 years!!! I see people that are my age and I wonder, "Do I look that old???" Anyway, I really don't feel old, and all that other bull&#%* ! !

Now for the stats:

I've been married for 28 years-never had kids, just pets.

We lived in Dallas for about 15 years. I was a Regional Sales Manager for Sebastian (hair products) and also owned my own salon. About 5 years ago, we were sooo tired of city life we decided to move to Hot Springs, SD to be near my family.

We bought 10 acres and built a house and have been deliriously happy. It did take a little adjusting going from a city of 3 million to one of 4,000. (mainly learning to drive 30 miles an hour down Main St as opposed to 75mph). My husband has 2 small business' and is going to school to become a Real Estate Appraiser (can you say Type A??)

I worked for Procter & Gamble for several years before I got in a car accident that injured my back. Since then, I do volunteer work at the old folks' home, tend to my huge garden and hunt garage sales and visit thrift stores. I think sometimes my husband looks at me while I'm canning tomatoes or sewing something and can't believe what his little "fashionista" has evolved in to!

I really look forward to seeing everyone in July 2004.

Kim (Eshbach) Koppen and I are driving over to Ames and I've got the Led Zeppelin CD's fired up, although I'm sure this is the first time we have listened to them when we were together and not been under some sort of mind-altering substance! (hope her kids never read this!)

See you soon,

Paula
